Where to get scanner cables/terminators in UK ?

Hello.

This is, strictly speaking, entirely off topic,
but fairly important information if you actually
want to use a low-end "SCSI" scanner under Linux,
such as UMAX1220S, Agfa 1236S, Microtek X6 etc.

First of all: do scanners with the weird and stupid
(in the full technical sense) 25-way D-connectors all
have the same pinout ?

Second:
Does anyone know where (in the UK) to get any of
the following parts:

- High-density male 50-way D <-> male DB25 adaptor.

- High-density male 50-way D <-> male DB25 adaptor with
switchable (through) termination. (Does this even exist?)

- DB25 SCSI terminator, active or otherwise, through
or not.

- High-density male 50-way D <-> male DB25 cable.

I know I'm not the only person to run into this cabling
problem: I think it would be very useful to SANE users
if this kind of information were accessible via the SANE
website. It would be good to have a page somewhere
detailing the pitfalls of "SCSI" scanners.

Regards,

John.
