I have a bit of a problem I was hoping someone might know something about.
I have a hp scanjet 6250 and when I'm scanning from the ADF I
tend to get vertical lines running down my images. The lines are
not terribly pronounced but still annoying. The hp documentation
that came with the scanner suggests that the ADF might need to be
cleaned however the scanner is brand new and besides which they
provide no information about how to clean in the manual anyways. I
am using a version of the hp sane drivers that I downloaded about
two weeks ago. If anyone has any tips on how to fix this or if not
could suggest another scanner that they've had clean results with that
includes an ADF it would be much appreciated. I spoke with HP tech
support about this but they wouldn't even talk to me since I
was using LINUX. It was very annoying.
