Segmentation fault
Fortunately Christer Weinigel, the author of the kernel interface
driver, included a demo prograom to write escaped PCL codes to /dev/hpscan
to produce a primitive 1-bit 2'' x 2'' scan. If worse comes to worst I
can always hack that and just bypass sane front and backends.
