    Dr. Falk
I thought I would jump on this thread to share my Mustek experience.......
    I own a Mustek Paragon 1200 LS 8.5"x14" scan area............SCSI
I used the scanner successfully with Caldera 2.3 and SuSE 6.2.......with SANE
    1.01-2...
Also works with Win 95/98 ..But not as Advertised with Win 3.1 and Win NT
    4.0....
The install fails in in Win NT 4 with SP 3 or 5 or 6.x
Does not work with SANE OS/2 1.01 as the dated ASPI filter does not connect
    ....
I scanned gray scale color and Photo.... Repectable speeds
I just followed the SANE Read me and used generic Mustek..
The scanner comes with its own SCSI (Hybrid ) card ... Throw it away if you
    have
another SCSI Card..........It is a source of frustration....
If you use your own SCSI card Disable termination .. ( If the card also runs
    a Hard drive)
If your SCSI card only runs the external Scanner Enable termination....

Oh! I found it for $89.00 US New at a Close Out.... : )
    Hope the helps!!!
