microtek x6 and TMA not working

Hello,

sorry, I have to ask for your support again.

I try to scan slides with Microtec's TMA (LightLid),
but the scanner hangs. (No scan, no preview, in color
and in greyscale-mode as well).
I switched xscanimage into TMA mode .
The scanner switches off it's lower lamp and ON it's
upper lamp (correct)
The scanner seems to calibrate itself (i.e. it scans the calibration
area at the bottom of the scan area) several times.
I am not sure, if it tries to scan the slide too after the
calibration phase,but I don't think so.
After about 1 minute I get an error-message (something about IO-error)
I have set DEBUG_MICROTEK2 = 128 and recorded the output of xscanimage
for comparison for 'flatbed' and TMA mode as well.
(Quite long, so I will not post it here. If someone is able to
interpret the output, I will send it via private mail, of course)
In some cases the whole system hangs, but comes back to life when
the scanner is switched off.

My configuration is as follows:
SuSE Linux 6.1 (i386) - Kernel 2.2.5 with AHA152x support compiled into
kernel
boot with parameters aha152x="0x140,11,7,1,1" or aha152x="0x140,11,7,1,0"
sane V1.0.1 with Bernd's patch "0.7 release"
Microtec Firmware V 1.3

Any hints apreciated

Greetings

Harald
