Most scanner manufacturers assume that you will be using the SCSI
card that they include with the scanner, and they have verified
that it works with the card and cable in the box. My UMAX scanner
actually included a pass-through terminator, but I definitely get
the impression from talking to other scanner purchasers that this
is the exception, not the rule.
I guess they figure that if you are supplying another card and
maybe other cables, that you can supply the terminator as well.
