    Hi,

I just replaced my HP5300 with an epson.

    Jonathan, http://www.neatech.nl/oss/HP5300C will be discontinued,
could you remove the link to this page from your USB scanners page?
And, again, please downgrade from green to orange.

I plan on giving the HP away to somebody willing and able to get it
to work under sane and linux. I'll even pay postage if shipping is not
    too expensive from the Netherlands.

The scanner has a slight scratch on the glass that doesn't seem to
appear on scans (can't test now, because the windows drivers broke
down), but that shouldn't affect testing anyway, and an area of at
    least A3 size is scratchfree.

The power connection is european, 220-240V, 50-60Hz, with two round
pins, so make sure you can get the appropriate adaptor where
necessary. You could potentially get away with your own DC, 24V,
    0.84A.

I know Oliver Neukum did some work on this scanner without access to
one. I assume you would be interested, Oliver, if so, could you let
    me know?

    Kind regards,
    Tobias Nijweide
