Well I installed windows again, and the scanner worked great?????????? Now back in Linux, I get the same problem again. I am going to see if I can get it working with san1.0.1 as I had it before. If it does work, then there must be a problem with the snapscan usb backend. If it doesn't work, I must have kernel problems??

The sound (of it working) usally comes to a halt, following by a lengthy pause, and then I get an error message saying that there was a failure with devie i/o. I tried using the snapscan debugging, but I know little and it did not help. (This debug info is posted here http://playstation.webhostme.com/other/snapscan_debug_output.txt, if you want to take a look at it go ahead.)
