    Try to fetch sane-backend and sane-frontend v1.0.4 instead of sane
    1.0.3 (the two former replaces the latter), and then have a look at
    <URL:http://snapscan.sourceforge.net> to get the latest version of the
    snapscan driver.

    I do not know enough about the Snapscan backend to help you with your
    problem.

    BTW: It should be enough to only send your question to
      sane-devel@mostang.com, as all developers should be reading this
      mailing list.
