Hi Karsten,
Thanks for your idea! "option lightlid-35 on" was set in
/usr/local/etc/sane.d/microtek2.conf, but changing "on"
to "off" didn't change the behavior. Nor did commenting out the option
with a # mark. The light still starts out on, but then goes off when the
scan starts!
Is there some way to monitor what commands are being exchanged between
scanner and host?
