    At least the X6 uses SCSI commands.
    In fact it uses even some kind of SCSI over USB.
    However the protocol is quite primitive.

    The only difference to the SCSI model is the product id.
    Consequently the kernel driver for these scanners pretends
    to be a SCSI device to user space.
