Hi!

Disable saned in your inetd.conf and start saned from your command line
like this

(assuming your using the HP backend)

SANE_DEBUG_HP=128 saned -d128

and start your frontend like this

SANE_DEBUG_NET=128 scanimage -D hp:/dev/scanner

(or whatever scanner you're using)

BTW, what "bug" are you looking for? Or what doesn't work the way you'd
expect it?
