Has anyone had much luck with a HP 4100C USB scanner in Slack 7.1? I
patched the 2.2.16 kernel with the backport of the USB code, built the
appropriate
device file verified that the scanner shows up under
/proc/bus/usb/devices. I then
compiled and installed sane but I can't load the sane hp module. The
error message
is:
test@test:/dev# modprobe hp
/lib/modules/2.2.16/net/hp.o: init_module: Device or resource busy
Hint: this error can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including
invalid IO or IRQ parameters
/lib/modules/2.2.16/net/hp.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.16/net/hp.o failed
/lib/modules/2.2.16/net/hp.o: insmod hp failed
Anyone have any ideas?
