xsane and gimp - empty images

    Hi,

    the empty image problem when xsane-0.58 is used as gimp plugin
    is caused by the localisation routines/settings.

    If you use eg. "de" instead of "de_DE" as language selection everything should
    work fine. You also can comment out the call
        gtk_set_locale();
    in xsane.c (that is the relevant difference between xsane-0.57 and xsane-0.58)
