xsane-0.56 and 16 bit preview

Please could somone with a umax scanner that supports bit depth >8bpp do:
!!!with xsane-0.56 !!!

select color scan
set bit depth to depth>8bpp
do a preview

and tell me if the preview looks correct?!

If it does not correct please set depth to 8bpp
and try again.
