I think you have different gimp versions installed and xsane find gimp-1.1.14 include
files but uses gimp-1.0.x libs. I suggest you erase all gimp libs and includes and everything you find
about gimp and reinstall gimp-1.1.14
Or simply comment out the line 1878 in xsane-scan.c
