Ok, I feel like a fool. Recently got myself an Indy, so I am still
learning the kinks of the OS.

Running Irix 6.5.2 this is what I get.

straif:/usr/people/madpoet/Incoming/xsane-0.43:$ configure
creating cache ./config.cache
checking whether libintl patch is requested... no
checking whether GIMP plugin is requested... yes
checking whether JPEG support is requested... yes
checking whether PNG support is requested... yes
checking whether TIFF support is requested... yes
checking for gcc... gcc
checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works... no
configure: error: installation or configuration problem: C compiler
cannot create executables.

And here is a copy of the config.log

This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

configure:594: checking whether libintl patch is requested
configure:606: checking whether GIMP plugin is requested
configure:618: checking whether JPEG support is requested
configure:630: checking whether PNG support is requested
configure:642: checking whether TIFF support is requested
configure:657: checking for gcc
configure:770: checking whether the C compiler (gcc ) works
configure:786: gcc -o conftest conftest.c 1>&5
ld32: FATAL 9: I/O error (/usr/lib32/mips3/crt1.o): No such file or
directory
configure: failed program was:

#line 781 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"

main(){return(0);}

Has anybody installed xsane on Irix?

Thanks,

-Eric
