First, don't mind for my poor english,
resume the situation:
- freshly installed a mandrake 6.0 distribution
- used a tekram DC390 SCSI card
- an UMAX astra 1220S V1.5 scanner
the scanner is corectly recognized by the driver,

When I'm trying to scan an image,
the scanner whirr during a few seconds then nothing.....
the console is hang up, I proceed a "CTRL-C" to free the command line.
The scanner work fine under win 95.....
I searched on the newsgroup to see an indentical problem, but nothing,
I hope,;I am not the only one on this world to have this problem !!!!!
