I don't know I go to all the trouble of putting together a page detailing
information about parallel port scanners, and nobody seems to take
note.

The ScanJet 5100C is functionally identical to the 5P, apart from the
fact that it returns a different id. It is hiding behind a Shuttle EPST
parallel to SCSI converter, and as soon as the parscsi is available
it will work under SANE and Linux. The current epst.c module has been
reported working on this list if you increase the timeout values.
