New umax backend availableHi

I did some changes to prepare the umax backend for 16 bits/pixel support.
XSane will soon have an experimental support for 16bits/pixel.

Please could you (especally the one with a 10 or 12 bit scanner)
test this version if it works in 8 bit mode correctly
and tell me about positive and negetive results!
