I tried it out yesterday but it didn't work for me (it did scan but
it didn't write a valid ppm file so I can't say if it helped or
not). In the meantime I tried to characterize the problem better.
It seems that (at 50dpi resolution) the scanner missed the first blue
line and inserted one at the end instead. So what you get is
rgrgbrgbrgb...rgbb instead of
rgbrgbrgbrg...brgb like it should.
(The higher the resolution the more lines are shuffled.)
I'll take a closer look at the sourcecode to see why this happens and
if I can write a workaround that sorts the data back into order.
(I will tell you when I got something).
