color registration

Hey there.. I have been having a "once in a while" problem with color
registration.. I am using sane v0.74 with a Mustek Scanmaker E3, on Red
Hat Linux 5.1.. Any suggestions?? By color registration problems I mean
that the red green, and blue color channels are not lined up with each
other, usually changing the DPI to 199 from 200 or similar will solve
the problem...
