now i recompiled the package with version 0.4 of the
abovementioned patch, to get around a colour-bug ...
now, when i boot, the scanner is still recognized properly
by the kernel, however: when entering ...
prompt> scanimage -d /dev/sg0
i get the message
prompt> open of device /dev/sg0 failed: invalid argument
(the same with xscanimage)
when i type ...
prompt> ls -l /dev/sg0
crw-rw---- 1 root users 21, 0 Jul 26 21:45 /dev/sg0
so the device is there ...
the scanner did work allready (with version 0.3 of the mustek-patch)
and since then the only thing i did to my system, was to recompile
the sane-package with the new mustek-files ...
on the other hand i dont think, that these files are the reason
for the problem, since i allready received the same
error-message with the old 0.3-version of the
mustek-backend ... and then somehow i could make
the scanner functioning properly in the end
the problem is: i cant remember how i did it!
(actually: i never knew, but it worked in the end)
any suggestions ??
thanx!
