I think it is ok the way we do it in the moment, there are a lot of new
backends with problems. Why jump to 1.0?
If most included backends are so far that we don't know any bugs and
probrlms, it is time to use version 1.0, but if we do it like
in the past, we will get to version 1.0 until this happens.

And we have to wait until gtk version is 1.0
