========== Scanner Inquiry Report ==========
===== Scanner ID...
Device Type Code: 0x06
Model Code: 0x00
Vendor Name: 'MUSTEKÿÿ' Model Name: 'MFC-06000CZÿÿÿÿÿ'
Firmware Rev: '1.01 '
SCSI F/W version: 1.0 Scanner F/W version: 2.0
Response data format: 0x00
scanimage: sane_start: Invalid argument
I'm guessing those funny extra chars are SCSI problems? What
do you think? I also get those funny "white-space" characters when
the machine boots and the SCSI card reports the devices.
What's going on and any recommendations? I have a SC-200 (ncr53c810)
SCSI card and I have disconnect off and sync off in the kernel config.
The kernel reports:
Vendor: MUSTEKÿÿ Model: MFC-06000CZÿÿÿÿÿ Rev: 1.01
Type: Scanner ANSI SCSI revision: 00
Detected scsi generic sgd at scsi0, channel 0, id 6, lun 0
I actually can bring up the "xscanimage" and the scan will preview
images, but they just come out like random plad patterns of colors.
But the scanner does it's thing and make noises and the lamp moves
and all that good stuff.
Please help, any suggestions welcome. Is the scanner broken or is this
a config/driver problem?
Thanks in advance.
