OK, I have tried, and it seems to have the same problem. xxgdb reports
the following:
Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x40067ed9 in gtk_real_widget_queue_draw (widget=0x80ad218) at gtkwidget.c:2854
Tracing the stack back, it says this occurs at a call to gtk_main() in
xscanimage.c at line 1652. It's in a function called interface(), called from
main at xscanimage.c, line 1681.
The weird part is that about one time in ten it will run OK.
