    Look at the SANE FAQ, maybe that's your problem:
    http://www.xs4all.nl/~ljm/SANE-faq.html#65 . You must change one line
    in your sane-backends sourcecode. Or get a CVS snapshot from yesterday
    from http://www.meier-geinitz.de/sane/sane-cvs-2001-05-17.tar.gz .
