    Hallo,
and thanks for the great project.

    Here my problem:
    I can't use the gimp-plugin of xscanimage.
When i type : scanimage -L - no scanners found
    When i type : scanimage -d epson - all scanns are o.k.
    The backend is o.k.

When i type : xscanimage - no scanners found
When i type : xscanimage epson - all scanns are o.k.
    The frontend is o.k.

    Now the gimp-problem:
starting gimp in the console in a window. -o.k.
Now i select in the menu Xtns/acquiere Image/Device dialog.
    In the console comes :
[xscanimage] No scanners were identified. If you were expecting something
different, check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and
detected by the find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read
the documentation which came with this software (README, FAQ,
              manpages).

Where can i say xscanimage that it use the epsonscanner when i use gimp?

    Sorry for my bad english.
    Ralf Manthey
