sorry, I made a mistake. It was the BUILD 1.102 of mustek.c which works for
me.

I tried to get the same error again, but I got a different error. I tried to
aquire a preview but the scanner stops at the end of the scan without
returning and the display is freezed. Switching the scanner off and on
makes the computer usable again.

It works fine ( but merged into BUILD 1.102 ). I got your code just after
sending this mail ...
I'll make further investigations next weekend.
