Hi Andreas,
- xsane-win32 does save the files as tif.
- with unix you can select filetype "by ext"
and enter the filename xyz.tif, this is
recognized.
- when you compile xsane yourself you only have
to do one change to change the "tiff" menu item
to "tif" (see xsane-*/src/xsane-fixedtext.h)
