Hi Derrell,
it is wanted that "sane-config --libs" of --sane-backend-1.0.4
does not add "-ldl". The explaination for this can be found in my last
mail.
When you remove all installed sane stuff and then
configure/make/make install sane-backends-1.0.4
and then
configure/make sane-frontends-1.0.4
everything should work.
