I have an Epson Perfection 610 (USB) on my Linux Box (Mandrake 7.2).
I use Gimp for scanning. There I have a graphical user interface, but
there are 2 checkboxes I don't understand:

What does it mean:

1) Advanced - Speed (checkbox)
2) Preview - Speed (checkbox)

I couldn't find any documentation on this.
