    I already wrote an email about this... it is possible for a normal user
    to do network scans. The sane port isn't privileged.

    To decide, whether the patches for sanei_auth/saned/net/scanimage should
    be included in SANE 1.0.4 it would be nice to have some feedback: does
    it work? Do you like the idea?
