I am using kernel 2.2.16-22, whith the usb backport. The scanner is
recognized by usb, scanimage -L or scanimahe -d hp4200:/dev/usb/scanner0
doesn't work. I get output:

I can not check it with the program hp_scan to check the scanner,
since this scanner is not supported with this program.

I guessed to alias char-major-81 to videodev, and char-major-81-0 through
...-81-3 to bttv, but perhaps it is wrong.
Could it be that sane + backport combination is bad ?
What else can it be ?
