Hi,
Has anybody been able to get this configuration to work? I'm using SANE
1.0.3 which says that the USB version of this scanner is supported as
long
as there is USB support in the kernel, but when I try to scan an image,
I get lots of timeout messages on the syslog:
Sep 23 12:40:33 roble kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
Sep 23 12:41:16 roble last message repeated 2 times
Sep 23 12:44:40 roble last message repeated 2 times
Sep 23 12:45:54 roble last message repeated 2 times
Sep 23 12:47:03 roble last message repeated 3 times
Sep 23 12:48:13 roble last message repeated 3 times
Sep 23 12:49:33 roble last message repeated 4 times
Sep 23 12:50:53 roble last message repeated 4 times
Sep 23 12:52:13 roble last message repeated 4 times
Sep 23 12:53:33 roble last message repeated 4 times
Sep 23 12:53:53 roble kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
The USB seems to be detected without problems:

I tested the scanner using the hp_scan program provided as part of the
USB
kernel driver, and it worked fine and without timeout messages appearing
on the syslog, so I presume the problem lies in SANE or the
SANE+backport
combination.
Thanks in advance.
