driver for plustek

It's me again...

When I "insmod parport" and "insmod pt_drv" to be able to use my scanner, I
have this message in /var/log/messages :
parport0: PC-style at 0x378 [SPP]

I think the "SPP" is a low transfer rate, isn't it ?
How can I improve this ?
