Hi!
Curiousity got the better of me today at work and I tried SANE on the
parallel port scanner we have in the office. The Mustek_PP backend
recognizes it as an MFS-600IIP. The label says Medion 9850. This is
one of the infamous Aldi scanners. The backend tries to scan and even
delivers a picture. The picture is, however pure white. I expect that
this is because the scan sled tries to run in the wrong direction and so
stays under the calibration strip. I don't know if it would be
difficult to straighten this out. I haven't looked into the source
yet. If debug data are needed, I can run them off tomorrow.
