Heh heh, well I guess there is something to be said about patience. After
apparently failing the scanimage -T, I decided to see what would happen if I
just typed scanimage.

Lo and behold, the scanner actually scanned! Created a 24MB image though,
but that's because I didn't include any parameters on the command line.

Getting there.
