There is no support for The ScanExpress Plus models in SANE 1.0.2. You must
use the current Mustek backend from CVS or http://hmg.home.pages.de/sane/ .

You can see which backends are loaded if you do "export SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255"
before starting scanimage. With "export SANE_DEBUG_MUSTEK=255" you will see
the Mustek backend messages.

Maybe you don't have the correct pemissions for this devicefile or it is not
the correct one. Try find-scanner from the SANE tools directory.
