Can I plug my printer into my scanner and have it work?

    I know that you can plug your printer into your scanner.
    I know that it works like that in windows (sometimes with changes).
    Can I do this in Linux using SANE?
    Can anyone else than me do it?

    I notice that if I plug my printer into my scanner, it hangs up and
    deletes the pt_drv.
    The pt_drv is for my plustek 4800P.
