    Hello,

a new version of the Mustek backend (1.0-80) can be found at
http://hmg.home.pages.de/sane/ and in the SANE CVS.

This release contains major changes, please test.

    User visible changes include:

    * Transparency adapter (slide kit) support for Paragon legal size scanners
      (Paragon MFS-6000CX, 12000CX, 6000SP, 8000SP, 12000SP)
    * Fixed bug concerning shrinked images at resolutions above 600 dpi for
ScanExpress 12000SP and ScanMagic 9636S scanners with firmware >=2.00.
If this bug exists for other firmware versions or ScanExpress 6000SP
      models, too, please email me.
    * Fixed problem with color scanning for the Paragon 8000SP (red images)
    * Changed buffer handling: At least with newer Linux kernels the SCSI
buffersize will be determined by the backend now. It is possible to
      override this in mustek.conf.
    * Set more reasonable default vales in mustek.conf.
    * removed color lineart and color halftone modes for one-pass scanners.
Do these modes work for anyone?

    Bye,
      Henning
