Hi everyone.

Am having difficulty sharpening a scanned image. I always seem to end up with
lines or dots when I push up the sharpness in gimp, particularly with 35mm
slides which are proving the most difficult of all.

Does anyone have any gimp (or other) methods of sharpening the focus of scans?
