xsane gimp plugin problem (empty images) found

    Hi,

    Henning Meier-Geinitz found how the problem (empty images when
    xsane runs as gimp plugin ) can reproduced:

    if you e.g set environment variable LANG to "de_DE" you get
    the problem, if you set it to "de" everythnig works fine.

    xsane-0.58 is the first version that does call gtk_set_locale();
