    Dear List,

I'm new to Linux and this group but I have a question. I have tried to set
up my Linotype-Hell Jade scanner and all it has been is hell. I have the
    following configuration -

    [root@sandman /root]# /usr/bin/find-scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "LinoHell JADE V1.2" at device /dev/scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "LinoHell JADE V1.2" at device /dev/sg1
find-scanner: found scanner "LinoHell JADE V1.2" at device /dev/sgb

    [root@sandman /dev]# ls -la /dev/sg*

Does anybody know what's up? I am doing all of these commands as a root
user, so I don't think it is a permissions problem. Any help would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
