I can't help you with the Mustek, but I've been using and Advansys 3940UA
with an Epson 1200S and a Ricoh CDRW with Mandrake-6.1 without any
problems
that I'm aware of. Advansys' own Linux drivers have been in the kernel
tree for
some years now, and seem to be actively maintained by Advansys.
I got the Advansys card after sending back two defective Tekram DC315U
cards.
(The Tekram DC390F and other Tekram cards which use non-Tekram chipsets
are said to work fine).
