That seems to be the exact case on my system. I have a 24-bit SGI O2, but
theroot window seems to be 8-bit only:
Absolute upper-left X: 0
Absolute upper-left Y: 0
Relative upper-left X: 0
Relative upper-left Y: 0
Width: 1280
Height: 1024
Depth: 8
Visual id: 0x25
Visual Class: PseudoColor
Border width: 0
Class: InputOutput
Colormap: 0x3000008 (not installed)
Bit Gravity State: ForgetGravity
Window Gravity State: NorthWestGravity
Backing Store State: NotUseful
Save Under State: no
Map State: IsViewable
Override Redirect State: yes
Corners: +0+0 -0+0 -0-0 +0-0
-geometry 1280x1024+0+0
I have tried to use GDB and "backtrace" (as suggested by Oliver), but GDB only
returns
"no trace". Do I have to recompile xsane with debug enabled for "backtrace" to
work? I
did compile glib/gtk with full debug, but that did not help.
