a few questions

I am having trouble getting answers to some questions regarding SANE. I am
currently using RedHat 6.0 an EPSON Perfection 636 scanner and an Adaptec
1460 SCSI card (PCMCIA). Linux recognizes my scanner but SANE does not.
Is this a scanner that is supported? I have seen the list of supported
backends , but was not able to tell if this scanner is supported. Secondly
is there anything else I need to do after I install SANE, so that it will
see the scanner?
