crocoite# ./find-scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "MICROTEK ScanMaker 35t+ 1.40" at device
/dev/scanner
find-scanner: found scanner "MICROTEK ScanMaker 35t+ 1.40" at device /dev/pass2
crocoite# camcontrol inquiry 0:6:0
pass2: <MICROTEK ScanMaker 35t+ 1.40> Fixed Scanner SCSI-CCS device
pass2: Serial Number [
pass2: 3.300MB/s transfers

Diff: MICROTEK is in caps with find-scanner

crocoite# scanimage -L
device `pnm:0' is a Noname PNM file reader virtual device
device `pnm:1' is a Noname PNM file reader virtual device
device `microtek:/dev/scanner' is a Microtek ScanMaker 35t+ flatbed scanner
