The scan aera length for the UTA is smaller then for flat scans.
But the maximal scan area for UTA is marked at the scanner. The scanner
use
the missing length at top window for calibrating. This small window must
be open. BTW the microtek do the same for calibrating and have also
less scan length with a UTA.

But now your question. Prescan an scan work well in the reduced scan
area all is ok. Unfortenately the scanner is at my office but if I
remember right I must position the film at the right top edge of the
scanner and it appears at top left in prescan and scan.
It is not clear if it is mirrored left<->right. What is the upper side
of
a film? Should we place it up down like paper with a UTA??
If I am back at office at monday I will check out the exact working
of the UTA. I will report.

Bye
Wolfgang
