Some months ago I reverse engeneered a Windows Logitech Scanman Color
2000 dll. It works under
sane now. It is a parallel port handheld scanner. It took me 3 months to
decompile and carefully recoding
it in C.
Just when it was near 100% completion my scanner died. I am now looking
for spare parts for the
motion detector thingy.
The driver is able to initialise the scanner, wait for the scanner to
move and capture the incomming data in
some resolutions.
I have found the meaning for most of the commands for the scanner. The
exact protocol used is not yet clear to me, I just recoded everything in
C and it worked (after numerous bugs of course).
I was working on the sane interface and got xscanimage working with the
driver.
Is anybody interested in this almost finished driver? I could send what
I have now and hope for somebody to keep the code alive.
Regards,
Wim Taymans
